1) The appraised value of the home?
We have an official evaluation made by a professional who is qualified and experienced in doing assessments for these types of domains. This evaluation was made in 2005 and was appraised at around 800K.
2) What year was it built?
This is an ancestral domain. The main house was built 110 years ago...and provides the look and feel of a typical house built back then by Quebecers families.... but don't forget that the main house was entirely renovated with today's taste. All the other buildings such as the barn (2nd house), garage and the other service buildings have all been renovated during the course of the past 10 years. The owner has spent over 450K in renovations and site improvements.
3) The name of the area just North, where everybody is purchasing?
The "Laurentides" are located North of Montreal. This is where I have mentioned to you that people have in the past years bought many lands and houses, which are now extremely pricy and the areas are extremely populated. You pay a real fortune to purchase a small but very nice place.
The domain we have for sale is located in the "Lanaudière" area, which is North East of Montreal. People are calling Lanaudière the NEW NORTH. This area is becoming increasingly popular because of affordable lands and houses that you find in this area.
